Recreational areaproject: Meeting place at social investment initiative

Within the private permises of the Rotiana Social initiative there was a wish to develop a recreational/social area to complement all the other economical activities and the growing and stabilizing household dynamics of the nearby communities. Keeping in mind the logo of the company (a big acacia tree), the traditional thatched dwellings were inverted to create shade structures that could collect water or provide real climbing adventures! The design included a canteen, a projection area, playground, grocery shop and market place. The core objectives were to involve, to question, to challenge, to recycle and to have fun!
